Center fielders Carlos Beltran and Andruw Jones have been elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, receiving 84.2% and 78.4% of the votes, respectively.

Beltran and Jones will join Jeff Kent as the Hall's class of 2026, with the induction ceremony coming on July 26th in Cooperstown. Jones will be the first player from Curacao to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and will certainly go in as a member of the Atlanta Braves. Beltran's cap decision is unclear, though the most likely options are a Mets or blank cap.

Amongst first-time players on the ballot, only Cole Hamels received the 5% of votes required to remain on the ballot, while Manny Ramirez failed to be inducted for the 10th time, eliminating him from future consideration via the BBWAA ballot.

Overall, the 2026 ballot was fairly weak. Next year does not look much better, with former Giants catcher Buster Posey being the consensus best player to appear on the ballot for the first time.

Congratulations to Carlos and Andruw on the incredible achievement!
